Contents for the supply of 2 pairs Hussar Boots high heels to Lt. Col. James Torre bought in March 1813 and still unpaid in September 1815. Posted to him in Ferrybridge, then forwarded to Malton and finally to John Lockwood in Beverley with mileage marks of two former towns. .James Torre, Lt. Col. of the East York Militia, died aged 40 in 1814, and presumably his estate was handled by John Lockwood, an attorney.
