Scovell with copy letter from Sir Frederick Adam, Lord High Commissioner, Corfu, re outbreak of Plague in Hydra & Spezzia brought by Greek Prisoners from Modon recently exchanged by Ibrahim Pacha. Count Capo d’Istria stated to Captain Parker of H.M.S. “Warspite” that he had not the means of enforcing strict Sanitary Laws and expected the contagion to spread. A Proclamation has been published by the President of Greece at Napoli di Romania. Paper watermarked ‘Tucker & Son/ 1825’. Good condition, disbound at left margin.
