John Catnach (1769-1813) started a printing business in Alnwick in the 1790s employing Thomas Bewick. Although bankrupt by 1801 the business had restarted by 1807 with two apprentices. In that year he entered into partnership with William Davison which was dissolved in 1809. Good condition, creased.
