Receipt printed by Mitchell, Stationer, Engraver & Printer, 138 St. Martin’s Lane, London, for the Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce made out for Lord Glenbervie’s contribution of two guineas for the year from Xmas 1812 to 1813. Signed by R. Powell and Rob Elwin with 2d embossed receipt stamp. The Society was founded in 1754 and is now the Royal Society of Arts.. Good condition, rough left hand margin where torn from receipt book.
