HS 166 - Letter paper of Chester Quay published by J & F Harwood with plate number 43 c. 1842

£0.00

Charles Jerningham writes: ‘This is a prettily designed little Dee Side Sketch, though revealing to view none of the peculiar antiquities of the old city of Chester - In some respects it is one of the most curious towns in England, in others, one of the dullest and dreariest. In former days, while sojourning with C. Stanley near Park Gate, I used to ride over to Chester and explore its dingy deserted streets’.
