Folded letter paper numbered 558 dated 27th June 1844 and posted from Aberystwith on 9th August by Mr. Bruce to his sister in Burgh Castle - this is “a view of the place which is just now our resting place..we are lodging at the nearest corner of the street which runs out of the Terrace” (Waterloo House, later a temperance hotel).
